Today during Children's Church, I was teaching on God's attribute "Worthy". One of the stories we talked about was the Pearl of Great Price. I explained that the man in the story sold everything to buy one pearl because it was so valuable. We related this to the fact that God is Worthy.
While I was talking about the merchant and how he knew the pearl was valuable, a little girl raised her hand and ask "Was he a mermaid since pearls live in the ocean?" I didn't actually hear all that she said at the time so it wasn't until after class that Gil told me exactly what she said. It was rather comical.
