Tirzah asks her daddy if he saw the picture she painted today.
He looks at the picture she is holding and says "Oh it's a rabbit."
Tirzah informs him that it is a horse jumping out of the barn into the rain.
The Moral of this story...always say to the child "Tell me about your picture." That way you can avoid the embarrassment or hurt feelings of saying the wrong thing. It didn't seem to phase Tirzah that he said it was a rabbit.
Gil was correct when he told me later that she painted a really good rabbit head on the body of the horse.
