Breeding Goats

I have always heard that one of the best ways to teach children about the birds and the bees is to have animals. Well this last week, we have been breeding our goats. I have two male goats and six females. Three of the females have come into heat and we have put them with the appropriate buck. (No incest here.) Well tonight I thought one of my females was in heat so we put her with the buck. As we were getting the buck and walking him back to the barn Tirzah was talking to him...

"Hi big boy, your going to like this...you're going to have fun riding Sugar."

Gil and I laughed at her evaluation of watching the other goats be breed and what was going to happen. However, Sugar was not in heat and very fridged toward the buck so he didn't get to have any fun tonight. We'll see what Tirzah comes up with next.
